New book reveals how Kim K and mom Kris planned and produced her sex tape, then sold it

Kim Kardashian shot into sleazy limelight when her sex tape with long time boyfriend Ray J leaked in 2007, and back then, there were rumours that Kim's mother Kris Jenner, planned the entire sex tape (from recording to actual release), because she wanted her daughter to be famous like Paris Hilton.

Back in the day Kim used to be Paris' friend and assistant. Paris also became famous after her sex tape with ex-boyfriend Rick Salamon, leaked.

According to reports, Kris Jenner felt Kim was prettier, had a better body and could make a better sex tape than Paris. So she encouraged her to record herself having sex with Ray J. And then sold it to the press like it was a leak.

Daily Mail reports that there are claims in a new book that Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner deliberately leaked the sex tape to make her famous.

The soon-to-be released tell-all, Kardashian Dynasty by Ian Halperin, claims that Kim had signed a contract with Vivid Entertainment to leak the sex tape she had made with singer Ray J in 2003, according to a Sunday night report from Page Six.

The 51-year-old Canadian journalist includes a quote from a source in the 'adult film industry' who said: 'A mutual friend of Kim and Paris [Hilton] had advised her that if she wanted to achieve fame, a sex tape would be the way to go.

'Kim had discussed the idea of producing a tape with her family beforehand.'

The now 35-year-old reality star was not the only one who allegedly had a hand in the release of the video as it's claimed that the now 60-year-old momager also had some responsibility.

A former friend of Kim had told Halperin: 'It was Kris who engineered the deal behind the scenes and was responsible for the tape seeing the light of day.'

According to Page Six, while looking to clarify what exactly is needed in order to for a video of that nature to be released, the author posed as a someone looking to sell another sex tape of a star.

A Vivid spokesperson who told him: 'When it comes to... selling a sex tape, both parties need to sign off.'

Of the explosive new claims, the Canadian writer concluded: 'It is clear that Vivid would not have announced plans to distribute Kim’s tape without a clear indication from the family that they would give the go-ahead once they had come to terms on a price.'

Ray J, now 35, and Kim dated for five years before breaking up in 2007.

Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise Of America's Royal Family is set for release on April 26.
