Uche Akwari Has Slammed Nigerian Celebrities For Not Mourning The Abule-Ado Explosion Victims The Way They Mourned Kobe Bryant

Movie maker Uche Akwari slammed Nigerian celebrities that has kept quite these few days, as none of them have said anything or made any form of tribute about the Abule-Ado explosion victims the way they did they day The American Basketball legend (Kobe Bryant) died on a helicopter crash several weeks ago.

 

Speaking all the way from San Francisco, California USA, Uche Akwari stated that the Nigerian celebrities are all fake and double faced, they are hypocrites and they always wants to do "notice me"
Apart from this very incident of the explosion, which happened in Lagos on Sunday morning 15th March 2020, the actor said that, there are so many other killings that has been rocking the nation for the last one year, and none of the so called celebrities has said a word. Both the ones killed by Boko Haram and the once killed by the Fulani herdsmen around the Nation.

He went ahead to mention few stars like , the duo of P square, Davido, Whiz kid, Bovi and madam notice me...Toke Makinwa

Meanwhile it was learnt that several houses were shaken by the explosion, while some collapsed at Abule-Ado junction. It was learnt that the explosion came from Abule-Ado junction, Amuwo Odofin local government, Lagos.

The cause of the explosion has however been said to be a tanker

Confirming the explosion, the Federal Fire Service took to its Twitter page advising resident to stay away from the affected site.

The agency assured that its men are on ground to ascertain the cause of the explosion.

Reason Why Nollywood Is Not Growing - Movie Producer/Director Uche Akwari Speaks

Nollywood actor and producer, Uche Akwari, has said the industry can grow bigger than its present level if only stakeholders in the industry are united.


In a recent interview with Nollywoodportal, he said, “In the industry, people have been struggling on their own. The main issue we have is that everybody sees this as a competition; they are not seeing it as an industry we have to put our hands together and build. Everybody wants to be heard and outshine the other person; the team spirit is not there.

 Speaking from San Francisco California in United States of America where he is on his yearly vacation, Uche Akwari said “The industry has come a long way and there are people who have made a lot of sacrifices for it to get to where it is today. If we can remember the aims of these individuals who made those sacrifices and carried everybody along, we should be able to work around our differences.

He went on to say, 'my good friend, Orji Uchechukwu Charles and Chika Ike, produced the movie, "The Sound of tomorrow", and it competed with my movie, All against Love, which eventually won the AMVCA for Best Movie. Another movie,

"Happy" is another good movie, that was made by two producers,Francis Ifeanyichukwu Eugene and Igwe Sunday Shedrack.

  These people put funds together and united to put out something worthwhile. That is the way to go. But there are some producers that even if you want to assist them, they get unnecessarily suspicious and hostile.”
