Suspended Ughelli LGA Chairman Wanted By Police In Delta State Shopping Mall Crisis



 

Delta state Police Command has declared Hon. Henry Baro, the suspended chairman of Uvwie LGA of the State wanted over a reported violent attack and looting of Shoprite Shopping Mall by suspected armed hoodlums in Warri, last week Friday .

The Delta State Police Command also in the same vein declared wanted by the police, one Mr. Napoleon Odibu, who is the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, at Efurun Motor Park in Warri, the oil rich City .

The Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Alkali Usman, who made this declaration, at a media briefing in Asaba, the State Capital, said; police investigation into the said attack however revealed the complicities of the embattled suspended Local Government Chairman (Henry Baro) and Napoleon Odibu .

Mr. Usman added that the two above mentioned persons allegedly mobilized armed hoodlums who attacked the shopping Mall, injuring customers , staff and destroying properties within the Shoprite Shopping Mall, Warri.

He said the hoodlums subsequently went on rampage affter the reported looting, shooting sporadically & in the process, one Afor Emero was hit and killed by stray bullets.

The Commissioner of Police, therefore, declared both Hon. Baro and Odibu wanted, urging members of the public with useful information that would lead to them been apprehended to contact the nearest police station within the State.
